Alida received her Bachelor of Arts in Music at Queens College. Her concentrated studies on voice and composition has also given her extensive training in piano and guitar. She teaches voice, piano, ukulele and guitar in the classical, folk and rock/pop genre to students of all ages. She loves helping students find their "voice" in the literal and figurative sense in music. Her personal musical goals are in ethnomusicology and music therapy. She currently gigs all over the New York area with her trio, Alida y los corazones, as well as the Balinese Ensemble, Gamelan Yowana Sari. Alida speaks English, Spanish and a little bit French.
